Hypnobirthing in Dorset
KGHypnobirthing is devised by Katherine Graves, a pioneer in hypnobirthing. It is the original hypnobirthing classes and Katherine herself is the founder of The Hypnobirthing Association. Her skills and expertise are evident in all the work that she does.
KGHypnobirthing is centred around releasing fear and building confidence in the natural process of birth by practising relaxation techniques and asking questions about your care, to be empowered and confident in your ability for your body to give birth to your baby. It helps to give birth more gently and calmly.
There are many benefits for your baby and you from having a KGHypnobirthing birth:
-
You are likely to experience more comfortable and sometimes pain-free birth.
-
Your baby will arrive in a serene and relaxed environment, alert and ready to bond with you as nature intended.
-
Length of labour is often much shorter.
-
Fewer drugs and medical intervention are used in KGHypnobirthing births allowing your baby to develop naturally and easily after they arrive.
-
Mums often bounce back quicker after birth as the physical impact of birth is reduced.
-
Your birth partner will learn how to support you and have a central and active role in the birth. A truly shared and loving experience.
During the KGHypnobirthing course, I will cover:
-
The logic and background of KGHynobirthing
-
Techniques including visualizations, relaxation and breathing
-
Before birth with choices for the best possible birth
-
The birth
The course is run over 4 sessions, one each week, each session lasting 2-3 hours. Currently, this course will be run online in small or private groups, either evenings or weekends. Each couple will also receive a goody bag including the hypnobirthing book by Katharine Graves, the course notes, affirmation cards and a discount for my Doula support packages. Feel free to get in touch for more information or to ask any questions.
I run free relaxation sessions, to give a taster of what KGHypnobirthing can offer you and your partner. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions. If you would be interested, do get in touch to find out when the next one is taking place.
There is also the option to take the course at your own pace, by clicking here
